Correspondence worth keeping.

Example

Writing to someone I was with for three years. We ended it last spring, not badly, just ran out of road. I found a photo yesterday of us at that restaurant in Lisbon where the waiter kept calling her ‘senhora professora’ because she corrected his English. I don’t want to get back together. I just want to tell her I still think about that trip and I hope she’s doing well. Without it being weird.

For the best results, include:

Recipient who you’re writing to and how you know them
Prompt what prompted this (a conversation, something you read, a feeling)
Heart what you want to say, the real thing, not the polished version
Detail any personal detail or memory that’s relevant

Takes about 1 to 3 minutes
